Your privacy is important to SquadProfile (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your personal information across our website, mobile app, and related services. SquadProfile is committed to the protection of your personal information.
Collection and Use of Personal Information
Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person.
You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you interact with SquadProfile — through our website, mobile app, or support channels. We may combine this information with other data to provide and improve our products, services, and content. You are not required to provide the personal information that we have requested, but if you choose not to do so, in many cases we will not be able to provide you with our products or services or respond to any queries you may have.
What personal information we collect
When you create an account, set up an organization, subscribe to a plan, use our mobile app, or contact us, we may collect information including your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, device identifiers, IP address, location information, payment information, and athlete profile data (as described in the Athlete Profile section below).
How we use your personal information
We may process your personal information: for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, with your consent, for the performance of a contract to which you are a party, in order to protect your vital interests, or when we have assessed it is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by SquadProfile.
- To provide and operate our services — including game stat tracking, team management, analytics, and roster management.
- To keep you posted on product announcements, software updates, and upcoming events.
- To improve our products, services, and customer communications through internal analysis and research.
- To verify identity and determine appropriate services, including subscription tier and trial eligibility.
- To send important notices such as communications about purchases, plan changes, and updates to our terms and policies. You may not opt out of these transactional communications.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions through the Apple App Store and our payment processors.
Retention of Personal Information
Your personal information will be retained for as long as it is necessary to carry out the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy (unless longer retention is required by applicable law). The retention of your personal information will be subject to periodic review. We may keep an anonymized form of your personal information, which will no longer refer to you, for statistical purposes without time limits, to the extent that we have a legitimate and lawful interest in doing so.
Athlete Profile
Athlete profiles may contain: name, school or organization (name, city and state), graduation year, age, birth date, photograph, jersey number, sports position, and other athlete profile information as may be updated from time to time. This information can be accessed by coaches and team administrators within the same organization.
Mobile App
Our iOS mobile app collects device information, usage data, and crash reports to help us diagnose issues and improve performance. The app uses your device’s network connection to sync game data, roster information, and stat records with our servers. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s privacy policy and terms of service.
Third-Party Services
SquadProfile uses third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the infrastructure and services required to operate. These include:
- Hosting and deployment — Vercel (website), Heroku (API and web app)
- Analytics — Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand how our website is used
- Email — MailerLite for product announcements and updates
- Payments — Apple App Store for in-app subscriptions
These third-party vendors may collect and store your data on behalf of SquadProfile in accordance with their own privacy policies. SquadProfile owns the code, databases, and all rights therein. SquadProfile incorporates reasonable safeguards to help protect and secure your personal information. However, no data transmission over the Internet, wireless transmission, or electronic storage of information can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Children
SquadProfile is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under age thirteen (13) (or the otherwise applicable age of digital consent in any particular jurisdiction). Children under the applicable age of digital consent are not permitted to use our websites and services, and must request a team adult, parent or guardian provide any personal data in connection with the site and/or services. We will delete any information later determined to have been collected from an underage user. Coaches and Account Administrators may add underage users to a team roster only with express written consent from a parent or legal guardian. SquadProfile is not liable for obtaining such consent on behalf of a team.
Cookies and Tracking
A “cookie” is a small amount of data stored on your computer or mobile device by your web browser. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how our website is used.
We use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to help us analyze traffic and usage patterns. We also use Vercel Analytics for performance monitoring. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings.
We may embed content from third-party websites such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. When you visit a page containing such content, those services may set their own cookies. SquadProfile does not control these third-party cookies, and you should check the relevant provider’s website for more information.
California Privacy Rights
Residents of California have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you and from where we collect it.
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Understand how we process your personal information and how it may be shared.
- Opt out of having your personal information shared with certain third parties.
- Request we delete your SquadProfile account and personal information.

Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at support@squadprofile.com. Upon receiving a verified request, we will delete your personal information from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as maintaining aggregate team statistics).
